    Timesheet formula calculate

    Hi all,

    Can any one help me I want to make a timesheet and find a formula calculate the total days on & off also total hours per month for each employee,

    put the following into cell J2

    =SUM(IF($B$2:$B$177=B2,$H$2:$H$177,0))

    Enter the formula by holding CTRL and SHIFT while pressing enter.

    Copy down for all names

    This will give you a total of the contents of column H where the name in B is matched.

    note that the ranges B2:B177 and H2:H177 have to be the same size (height) or the formula will return nonsense.

    You could also use a Pivot Table if the list gest too long
