    Macros crash after 1st use

Hello - I have a couple of inter-connected spreadsheets and a macro that passes control between them, executing local macros in each. The program works fine once or twice, then crashes, saying at times "macro not found", or sometimes failing to recognize basic commands within the core macro. Most times, I can exit Excel and re-open the files and things will work again, but sometimes I actually have to REBOOT to get the program to run. Any thoughts?

    Thanks for your help

I don't have any specific answers for you but I can share one piece of information i have learned.

Once excel crashes and autorecover loads, i sort everything out and save the sheets i want to keep. however even after all this is done, certain lines in my code that normally work fine give me an error (and they are not complicated lines, they are lines like sheet(1).activate) . Only after i close excel and start it back up does the code behave normally again.

So if autorecover recovers one of your files, i suggest saving the file u want to keep and then manually closing excel and starting it back up again.

    Hope that helps a little
