computing weekly average

Hello all,

I have data in ane excel sheet that is taken sometimes daily/sub daily. I need to compute weekly averages for 17 years. The problem is that the weeks may have anywhere from 1 to 15 or 16 measurements. How would one go about calculating the average for the weeks?

I have limited VBA experience but will give it a shot.
