Removing currency symbol

Hi,

Can some one tell me how to remove the currency symbols in excel using VBA/VB code.

I have a column where there is a currency symbol associated for each cell value

$56000 needs to become 56000
$40990 40900
$66900 66900

Why do you need VBA to do this? This can be done manually. But like Carim said, just use the VBA recorder and adjust the code accordingly.
