problems in address function in excell

    Hello everyone,

I have the following problem with Address fuction.
When I define the row, the column and the others criterias I get the output as a cell's name, such as "A3", "b44" etc.
The problem is that the refference is to a text value in which the cell is bound with apostrophes ("XXX").
And so I have difficulty to use the cell's name in calculations such as SUM that needs the direct refference without apostrophe.

Can anyone tell me who to lose the apostrophe.

    Thanks,

I attached a file, as you can see the sum that is in the cell G21 is an error due to problems with Address function.[/SIZE]

    Hi,

a little difficult to tell what you are trying to sum, ignoring the 'address' then

    =SUM(2+H5-E3,6,3)

You have nothing in H5, and from that you are subtracting a date in E3, and then adding 2 6 and 3

Can you explain what you are really trying to do?
