    New to Excel Programming

    Hello

I'm doing some work for a client and she would like to have an interactive excel sheet that would allow her sales people capability to give projects. I have it all setup but she just requested that the job id be automatically populated.

Is there a way for me to do that in Excel? Or do I need to make it in Access?

    Thanks,

    Blue Moon Girl

Thanks for providing the link. I'm not sure if that would work with it being something that people will be in all the time.. it will be an interactive web application so they will be entering projects constantly.. but it is worth a try.

Any other options people know about?

How do you plan to keep track. I assume it's one user at a time in the spreadsheet.

Might be worth giving more info for a more tailored answer

Sorry I forogt to mention that information.

The plan is to have it be if someone is looking at the sheet then nobody else can get in -- so yes one user at a time. I'm assuming you can still do that read-only alert if someone else is already doing work with it and it being interactive.

    Thanks!
