Question drop down menu and conditional formatting

Unfortunately I've forgotten most of my Visual Basic programming, but I need help with what I believe would be conditional formatting.

I want to be able to do a couple of things...

I'd like to do a drop down menu where cell A1 can have the option of a 'yes', 'no', or 'follow up'.

Then I want that cell and all the cells in that row (eg. A1, A2, A3, etc.) to change color and font depending on which selection I make from the drop down menu.

How can I do this? As I said, I've forgotten pretty much all of my programming and only remember enough to get myself into trouble! Any help would be appreciated - the more detailed the better!

    Thanks.

Go to Excel Help. Type conditional formatting and do a search. Then do the same for Data Validation List. It's all there

Thanks so much for giving me the sample - that's exactly what I was looking for!

I figured out how you did the formatting of the cells to be a different color, but I still can't figure out how you did the drop down menu and, for some reason, I can't find that under 'help'.

Could you tell me how you did that?

    Thanks again!

Actually I have another question also...

I figured out how you were able to format one cell - but how did you get the other cells in the row to change color as well?

    Thanks
