    Hi,

I have probably not expressed myself very clearly ....

    1. Select Columns to be protected
    2. Format Cells Protection Locked
    3. Tools Protection Protect Sheet

...and you will get the result you expected ...

    Thanks

    Thanks for your sugges'n..

    My Query is..

    1. Column or columns only to be protected..
    2. The next column or columns are as of normal like editable or changle..
    3. For ex. the entier "D" Column only to be protected & the rest of the columns are unprotected. So we can work on the same sheet.

    Thanks & Regards

Ok my recommendation is to test the following to see if it works as expected ...

    1. Select all cells of your worksheet
    2. from menu, Format Cells Protection
    3. Clear the Locked field

... all cells are now unprotected

    4. Select the cells to be protected
    5. from menu, Format Cells Protection
    6. Select the Locked field

...all these cells are now potentially protected

    7. Protect Sheet

    and TEST ...
