Getting values from function to stay on reload

When I load my workbook, all the values from my custom functions disappear. The functions are triggered off of selection changes in a certain rea. (its a football pool which calculates the winners after the admin clicks the winning teams). Anyway, like I said, the values will be zeroed out on a reload. I tried to force changes on the values on a 'Workbook_Open()' to trigger the functions, but the functions didnt get triggered. Also, the functions are sheet dependent if that makes a difference (maybe that is a duhhh ).

Im sure there is a way to make the values stay so I dont have to do some stupid crap like that.
