    DatedIF

I'm currently using DatedIf to determine the number of years and months of
service for our employees. Though technically it is correct in it's
calculations, I need to tweak it somewhat or find another method. What I'm
finding is that employees hired on the 31st of the month aren't getting
credit for that month's service on months ending on the 30th (since they
don't actually work up to the 31st of the month).

For example, an employee hired 10/31/05 gets credit for 7 months of service
in May 06. In June of 06 there is no 31st to work through, so she still gets
7 months of service. In July, there are 31 days again so she jumps to 9
months. August again sees no change, while September adjusts.

Is there a solution to this? I tried inserting a couple of hidden columns
that would simply look at the difference between "October" and "June" instead
of looking at the actual dates, but I get an error.

    Stephanie,
How are you currently calculating the interval ?
