Need emplyee time card app, daily in/out, excel vba based.

I am trying to write a simple time clock for employees to punch in and out
from work. Scroll to name or ID number and click on IN or Out button for
recording to a journal in excell row (name, ID, time in, time out). Any ideas
    or starter information.
    Thanks, Mike at donabed1@aol.com

See http://www.cpearson.com/excel/overtime.htm . You can download
    the example workbook.

RE: Need emplyee time card app, daily in/out, excel vba based.

There is a lot of good information in Chip Pearson's contribution that I can
use down the road. I need first to capture only employee's time in and time
out by allowing them to click on a laptop screen form. The form should have
    (1) a list menu for the employee to select his name or ID number; Click on a
control button labled Time In or Click on a button Time Out when finished
work. Have these two transactions journalized onto an excel spread sheet
    which sould look like this:
    Name ID Date Time
    John Doe 049 06/11/06 0830
    John Doe 049 06/11/06 1630
Once all employees hours are journalized like this the information will be
passed to payroll applications, much like the ones submitted by Mr. Pearson.
    Thanks and Regards to all,
    Mike Donabedian
