linking workbooks - expert advice needed!

This is complicated so let me explain it in the most simple way possible ...

I have one spreadsheet, let's call it A & I want the information contained
in it to automatically populate cells in a different workbook, we'll call
that one B. This will eliminate a lengthy cut and paste process.

The catch is that there are several versions of A - A1, A2, A3, etc. that
would need to populate workbook B. And the variables contained in A (and all
its versions) vary day by day. Specifically, we are tracking phone center
production so the jobs and interviewers are different every day.

Is it even possible to automatically link a spreadsheet with changing
    variables to another workbook?

I am not saying don't but linking workbooks is inherantly problematic. From
the sounds of what you are trying to do a database would probably be a better
way to go. It would be easier to develope and maintain and is probably better
suited to the task at hand. Just my 2 cents...
