    Number stored as text

    Hello All

    I have changed my reginal settings to swedish

    Then i use the folowing statement in my application
    ApExcel.Cells(1, 1).value =FormatCurrency("1,00", 2, vbFalse, vbFalse,
    vbTrue)


    when i open my Excel sheet, cell 1,1 has a smll green trangle . when i
    press it it warns "Number stores as text".
    how do i avoid this. I need to store it as number

    Try inserting the following before your line of code:

    Cells(1, 1).Value = Cells(1, 1).Value * 1

    I got my all my currancy formats gone.
    I can store this as a numbe without changing the formats i got from regional
    settings

    Hi, you can do it this way:

    range("a1").select ' or cells(1,1).select
    selection.numberformat = "0.00" ' this is for 2 digits

    Any help under numberformat in Excel.
