    Struggling with security question

Wjislt knowing it is impossible to protect a .xls workbook from being copied,
I am trying to find the best route to making it as difficult to the casual
user as I can. I have a comples workbook with code modules.

I understand that if I save this as an Add-in then this will protect it to a
degree but I do not understand how to link the Addin- with the worksheets I
have created link to a workbook with visible worksheets that can be used by
the user without creting all the worksheets again.

Can anyone clarify this or suggest any other means of protecting the file

    RE: Struggling with security question

    Hi,

You can link add-ins to spreadsheets by setting references to them in the
VBA development environment. Tools - References - Browse & change the file
    type you are looking for.

I'm under the impression that all protection of 'straight' Excel development
is ultimately futile to the moderately determined soul.

    Regards,

    Chris.
