No. The macro recorder only records Excel operations.

You can use our macro recorder, Workspace Macro Pro. You can get more
information and free trial download for Workspace Macro Pro from
http://www.tethyssolutions.com/macro-automation.htm
Many customers use it to record between Excel & other applications. It
also has some pre-defined templates for data transfer etc.
If you need more advanced solutions, try our Automation Software,

Not with the Excel macro recorder. But you can use other macro
software like our Macro Scheduler:
http://www.mjtnet.com/macro_scheduler.htm
Macro Scheduler also includes VBScript and can therefore automate Excel
in the same way Excel VBA can as well as control external applications
and other Windows processes.

A third party product like Macro Mania will work for your needs. It's
a very popular macro program that interacts with any Windows programs.
See http://www.nstarsolutions.com/mm for details.
