Date Picker doesn't work when workbook is reopened

    Hi All,

I've made a sheet with a date picker that works fine, but when the book is reopened the picker doesn't work until I click "Source" in the developer tab at which point it comes to life and works perfectly.

Example attached, any help with this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Click Design Mode Under Developer Tab.

Select the Date Picker Object>>Do right Click>>Selct Properties>>Locate Linked Cell>>Paste the below Reference in the Linked Cell input area

    Sheet1!B2

Close the properties window>>De-select Design mode and select the desired date in the date picker and check

    Hi SixthSense,

I'm still getting the issue, it's not that the date picker isn't outputting the date, it's that when I open it the formatting is screwed up and it doesn't function until I click the Source button. Before and after pictures of the problem on the sheet attached.Before.jpgAfter.jpg

Try to re-install that controls, you can download it from here...

    http://activex.microsoft.com/controls/vb6/mscomct2.cab

Close Excel application and Open the downloaded file which will copy the required controls to the concerned root directory.

    Open your file and check...

I don't understand what you mean by recreate? There is a workbook with the problem attached in the first post and screenshots of the issue I'm encountering when using that workbook attached in my second post. What other information are you after?

    Thanks

Re: Date Picker doesn't work when workbook is reopened

Create a new DatePicker Date Control in that workbook and check whether that is also reacting in the same way...

Because I attended the same type of question previously in which I suggested the user to create a new date picker control and it worked successfully.

So your current control may be badly getting affected.

So please create a new one and check and confirm

    Aah - gotcha.

Still not working unfortunately. I've uploaded the amended file and attached a screenshot of what I see when I open it.

For me also it is showing like that only... lol

After opening the file you just use the scroll button in mouse and scroll it upward and downward it will be ok
