Macro to open a workbook

just want a simple macro that I can assign to a autoshape to open a workbook.

Hi Oberon.

Turning on the macro recorder and opening the workbook manually will provide
you with code.

Alternatively, look ast VBA help for the Open method and see the
accompanying example.
