Changed location of Add-In file--can't be found error

I recently saved an Add-In to my desktop. After I started using the Add-In I
decided to copy the Add-In file to a specific folder and delete it from my
desktop. Now everytime I open Excel, I get an error message saying the .xla
file can't be found on my desktop. I can browse for the Add-In and find it
in my folder, which enables me to use the Add-In, but having this error
everytime I open Excel is getting annoying.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hi

Select the add-in in Tools>Add-ins after you open Excel and get the error.
Excel will ask you if you want to delete it

Now Browse to the add-in in the new location
    OK
    Mark it in the list
    OK

    Jeff,

I've solved this problem by clicking on the addin in the addin dialog box,
deleting the old addin reference when prompted, then leaving the addin
dialog and exiting Excel. I then restart Excel open the addin dialog and
    browse to addin's new location.

If I try to do it all in one step I get the behavior you describe.

    hth,

    Doug
