    Startup settings for specific workbook

I have one workbook which, when opened, I would like to not show the formula
bar - but for this to not affect other workbooks which I may either already
have opened at the same time, or may open once this specific workbook is
open, even if I Ctrl-Tab between them. Is this possible?

if your idea is to hide your formulas then you should protect the
sheets of that workbook, first set in the cells-properties to hide the
formulas (something like Format/Cells/Protection activate "hidden" and
"protect" (sorry, translated from german, there are only these 2
    options there).

Thanks arno, that's done the trick! One of those simple little features that
I've just never come across before! Cheers
