    UDF parameter description

    Hi

Is there a way that I can describe the paraeters of my function so the user
will the description when he clicks on the "black equals" button to the left
    of the formula bar?

    Thanks

There is a way to describe the function itself, and you could use that to describe the parameters.

In VBE, open the Object Browser (F2).
In the top dropdown box, select VBAProject (or whatever you have named your project)
In the left-hand list select the module where your UDF is. It should be in the list on the right now.
Right-click on it, and select properties. Type whatever you want in the Description box.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi Rob,

This is not natively supported in Excel but you may like to look at Laurent
Longre's Funcustomize add-in which is freely downloadable at:

Rob shared this with us in microsoft.public.excel.programming:

Not with default Excel, but Google for "FunCustomize" by Laurent
Longre. It's a combination of a dll and an add-in (xla), iirc.

If it has an "X" in the name, it must be Linux?
