    Excel97 VBA controls don't load in Excel2003

    Hi

I'm having a little problem opening Excel97 files in an XP-Excel2003
    environment.

The file contains VBA code (userforms and modules)

The modules are fine but the userforms gives me troubles.
Opening the file gives following error messages :

Object not available on this machine
Objects not properly registered in the registry.

As you go the the editor you can see the forms, but some of the controls
where not loaded (textbox, option buttons, etc...)
Inserting new controls is without error...

I think it has something to do with the MSForms FM20.dll file. (the excel97
fm20.dll is older than the fm20.dll in the Excel2003

Is there no backwards compability ?

If you have any suggestion, thanks in advance

    Luc

In you temp directory, try deleting any files with an .exd extension,
including directories below the temp directory (most likely location).

There shouldn't be a compatibility problem. xl2003 has been out for quite a
while and your the first I have seen posting such a problem.
