    Unhappy placing a cell value in the header

    Once again looking to you guys for help.

    how can I place the value of a cell into the header. I've tried everything and
    it just won't print. the value is a string that's different everytime.

    I've even tried to name the sheet with the value of the cell and
    then place that in the header, but it wouldn't take.
    is this possible?

    hey while I'm here how do i convert this string into a date

    20051028

    I tried the "= cdate" method, but it keep give me errors.

    many, many thanks,

    Consider your date lies in cell A1, then use the following formula to convert it into a date: =DATE(LEFT(A1,4),MID(A1,5,2),RIGHT(A1,2))

    As for your first question, what header are you talking about...?

    header/footer - damn! that was simple

    I guess the "zerosleep" part was taking effect. It was simple
    I just couldn't get it right in my "zerosleep" state.

    .RightHeader = "&""Arial,Bold""Week Ending " & ending

    "ending" being the value of the last cell

    thanks for the date conversion.

    and as always thanks to everyone for being here.
