    Template edit

    Hi everyone

I am trying to edit couple of things in this template that I found online but I am a bit overwhelmed and I do not know where to put my hands, or better my cursor

    What I want to edit:
    1. Fixtures format (VBA)
    2. Scores method (Formula)

    Let me explain better
    Point 1: *Optional

This is how the formatting is by default
    Screenshot 2025-01-30 134525.png

This is how I want it (I have achieved this by deleting manually the rows I don't need) but if could be done automatically will be great, but it is not a major thing
    Screenshot 2025-01-30 134803.png

    Point 2: *IMPORTANT
I am preparing the spreadsheet for a Table Football tournament, 3 points will be awarded for each match, if a team wins 2 games one after another will get 3 points, the looser will get 0.

But if in a match there will be an initial draw so both team will win 1 game, then there will be a third game to have a winner, in this case 2 points will go to the team who wins 2 games and 1 to the loosing team.

In the spreadsheet I am attaching the scoring works differently there is only winner and looser who gets respectively 3 or 0 points, can anyone help me achieve the result I am looking for? Thank you soo much in advance

    Hi Bluesky0094,

    Let's start with the principle.
    My suggestion:
I added auxiliary calculations to the "Calculations" tab
    - the <H:AK> block is for identifying two wins in a row
    - the <AM:BP> block is 3 points for a win in a row
    - the <BR:CU> block is 3 points for a win, or 2 and 1 points for a draw.
    - the condition for dividing points after a draw is the letter "D" in column <C>.

I added a new column <Y> to the "Calculations" tab with the total points.

    I await your comments.

    Or without the "D".
Creating new fixtures (the "Create Fixtures" button) is now without spaces.

    Hi MSDols

Thank you so much for taking time in fixing the sheet, but something is not working, or maybe I didn't understand how it works

Let's take as an example the first match with result 2 - 1

    Attachment 888195

In this case first team should get 2 point the other should get 1 but this is not what happens

    Attachment 888196

    Did I do something wrong?

    To better explain

A match consists of best of three games.
If a team wins two games in a row, they earn 3 points, and the losing team gets 0 points.
If the match goes to a third game (meaning both teams initially won one game each), the final winner gets 2 points, and the losing team still earns 1 point.

    Hi Bluesky0094,

I apologize, I misunderstood your assignment.
I can't open your files Attachment 888195 and Attachment 888196. Can you check them?
I am attaching a table to verify the assignment:

Do not apologize, maybe I did not explain myself properly

There are only 4 possible results as I am not registering scores but final results.

The possible outcomes are 2-0 or 0-2 and 2-1 or 1-2

In the case of 2-0 or 0-2 the points assigned are 3 for the winning team
In the case of 2-1 or 1-2 the points assigned are respectively 2 for the winning team and 1 for the loosing team

This are the attachments of my previous post

Match outcome (this means they played 3 games Ciccio Calabrese - Carlo Covato won 2 and Saro Di Rosa - Ciccio La Terra won 1
    Screenshot 2025-02-04 120536.png

    Expected points assigned should be:
2 for Ciccio Calabrese - Carlo Covato
1 for Saro Di Rosa - Ciccio La Terra

    ok, see attached file.
Question: which of the "Calculations!D ... X" columns
do you need to have functional.
Are there, for example, Goal, which you are not recording.
