Post Using VBA code How to automate Fuzzy Lookup Add-In & using Configure>Advanced > Edit XML

    Hi All,

I need to write a VBA code to automate some work with the Fuzzy Lookup Add-in. I have tried recording a macro while I am performing the steps. It doesn't show that I have done anything when I view the code.

Any idea on how to automate Fuzzy Lookup Add-in?

Appreciate your quick response and thanks in advance

    Best Regards,

Using VBA code How to automate Fuzzy Lookup Add-In

    Hi All,

I've been using Fuzzy Lookup Add-In.

I would like to understand exact usage of 'Edit XML' feature from cofigure section within Fuzzy Lookup Add-in.

Here are the navigation steps: Fuzzy Lookup Add-In --> Configure-->Advanced --> Edit XML

    Reason:
Manually I've selected left columns, right columns followed by match columns conditions along with list of output columns, number of matches and similarity threshold percentage.

With above selections I'm able to execute Fuzzy lookup and save the file with results.

However, when I re-open the excel file and try to perform Fuzzy lookup with updated input data again, I need to make above settings again instead of retaining previous settings.

Is there a way to retain configuration from the time of previous settings or Is there a role of Edit XML to retain my previous settings?

Note: I can see my previous settings in XML even after re-opening the file but in the UI the columns selection in not reflecting as per XML.

I would like to avoid settings again and again, instead I just use "Go" to execute with previously applied Fuzzy lookup selections/settings.

    Best Regards,
    Vinod
