    Monthly Data

    Hi All,

In a table I have a particular cell, which contains a number (percentage) calculated from the other data in the table.

The figure will change as the master sheet is updated as and when, however on the 1st of each month id like to take this number and copy it into a separate table to so we can trend it on a graph, for example - Jan 15%, Feb 14%, March 12%

This is first time using VBA which I'm assuming is the method I need to use to achieve this. Could anyone give me a basic overview on how to do this please?

    Thanks

    Re: Monthly Data

    Welcome to the forum

Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

Something like this...Place code in std module...

So to explain...On opening of the file, the code checks to see if it is the 1st of the month...If so, it checks what month it is...Then updates said month with value...

    Re: Monthly Data

Thankyou very much, I've got this working now, but, considering if the 1st day of the month falls on a Saturday, then I would not be opening the sheet until the Monday, which would be the 3rd - is there a way around this with code?
