Question Bulk PDF rename - Grant Access (MAC)

    Hello,

I've created a macro to rename all PDFs in a single folder. Anytime I add a new files and run the macro, I have to grant access for the new files. Creating this macro to rename 500+ PDFs so I don't want to manually grant access every time I need to do this exercise. I'm having trouble with GrantAccessToMultipleFiles command. Not even sure if this is the correct route to take. Any advice? Thanks!

Re: Bulk PDF rename - Grant Access

I have never needed to grant access to do a Name rename in VBA. I think our first focus should be why this is happening in the first place. Do you have to do this if you rename them manually? Are the files on your local disk? If not where are they? How to they get there?

Please update your profile to show your Excel version (e.g., Excel 2019, Excel 2021 for Mac, Microsoft 365). I don't know which version/platform 16.74 is for and most people aren't going to look it up.

Thanks for the update suggestions. The files are located on iCloud Drive.

I'm not sure how permissions work in the Appleverse. Are you not the owner when those files are created?

I am the owner of the excel file. The pdfs that need renamed are emailed to me which I save to my drive.
