Creating email with the New Outlook 365

    Hi,

I'm trying to use the New Outlook 365 v1.2023.516.100, Client Version is 20230519010.05, but having issues when using Excel VBA to create an email or even find the accounts.

When I use this bit of code I get a popup error from Outlook.

This code looks for all the accounts in the Outlook Desktop application, works well on the older version but when I switch to this New version it doesn't work.
I either get an error message like this or it just hangs and does nothing.

Could this be because Windows still sees the older version of Outlook on my system, or a VBA code issue?

    Thanks

Are you saying that the older version is still installed? Or are you just speculating that some artifacts were left around for the prior version? I have never tried to have more than one version of Outlook installed on my system at the same time. Since GetObject doesn't specify a version, I am guessing that two versions is the problem. I have also never seen any message that refers to "new Outlook".

In Outlook it gives me the option to try the new version at top right of Outlook.

So clicked on this and Outlook changed to a new version, and a horrible version it is. It looks very much like the web version, very ugly.
What I have noticed is that I can switch back to the old Outlook version, so it does look like they are both still installed.

I guess we will have to wait until Microsoft actually release the new Outlook to completely test is.

This is a feature for certain users (such as Microsoft Insiders) that loads access to new-but-not-yet-released features. I don't think it installs another Outlook instance. But since I don't have an environment like yours I can't help troubleshoot further.
