Hi,
I am writing a conclusion report with showing the figures. If any figures in negative/positive then i have to show the up or down sign for growth or degrowth (with green or red colour also). I can add the sign, but I'd like to modify the colour as well. I know the colour can be adjusted using the custom format option, but because I'm writing text and showing figures, I'm not sure how to show them in colour. Please assist me with this if anyone is aware of it.

Without an example sheet it is quite difficult to indicate all possibilities.
Is the -6.4% fixed in another cell or is it a calculation, then it can probably also be done with conditional formatting.
Could you therefore add an example of your Excel file.
Hello, HansDouwe!! Thank you for your response to this post. Yes, it is a calculation, but it is concatenated with text formulas as shown in the screen shot. I just want any number or percentage under () to be bold, and any percentage with a symbol up/down indicating growth or degrowth to have the font colour changed to Green or Red with bold.
