VBA to resolve the Excel 2029 rule?

Hello, I was hoping for some assistance if this is possible via vba. I have a calendar macro that allows user to select date from the pop up calendar and then the date will post to a selected cell. The issue I'm having is that any years over 2029 will revert back to a 1900. So If the user selects the year 2049 it will actually format to 1949. Since my workbook is on a network I cannot change each computer's settings to resolve. Is there a way via vba to force the correct year/formatting as a work around?

    Appreciate your time and assistance!
