Edit a locked sheet that is locked due to date expiration

Which works, however I am in danger of locking myself out after the expiration date. How can I ensure I have access after the expiration date, just to change it to anew expiration date in the future please?

You could check the username of the user and if it is you then skip past - as Kaper has stated above' it's not really very secure.
