How do I save a folder with a different name and then set up a new folder via macro / temp

First of all ive posted here but no response

    https://www.mrexcel.com/board/thread...lates.1191904/

I have a folder that has 4 workbooks called week 1,2,3,4 and a workbook called summary. All the data between weeks 1-4 is summarised in summary via copy and paste link.
What im am trying to do is after the 4 weeks is up I need it moving to a different location as a complete folder but before moving it I need it to ask me to name the new folder.

I then need some new blank workbooks /summary to be created and replace the ones im saving elsewhere and to be linked again. Someone said to me about templates? The workbooks and summary that I will reuse at end of every month will be the same as they will not have any data in them.

    Any Ideas?

First I suggest that maybe you get a bit more concrete with the requirement. Normally I ask for sample workbook, but that doesn't apply here.

Let me restate what I read to see if I understand it.

You have a directory called, let's call it Current Directory with files Files 01, Files 02, Files 03 and Files 04. At the end of the week, you want a directory called Directory YYYY-MM-DD and move the old Files 01, etc. to it and create four blank files in Current Directory. OK, I get that you want to prompt for the new directory name. We can also define it automatically if that makes sense.

    Is this essentially it?
One spreadsheet to rule them all. One spreadsheet to find them. One spreadsheet to bring them all and at corporate, bind them.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but a sample spreadsheet is more likely to be worked on.

Many thanks for the reply but I have looked into it and think that I’m complicating it so decided to go no further and change the way that I’m going to do it
