VBA macro code for rota leave management

The excel attached is an example of a rota which I have made and use. I need some help with the macro coding. There are a few specific things please see below.

1a) In leave input sheet if the number of days of leave is = 1 I need help with changing the VBA code so that it looks at the AM and PM column and if there is either "AM" or "PM" written in the cell to then minus 0.5 from the number of days of leave so that only 0.5 days of leave is displayed.

1b) Following on from this, I then need the VBA code on the Weekrota tab to accommodate this and only take the persons initials off the rota at the appropriate "AM" or "PM" time.


2) On a slightly different point is it possible to build a VBA code that accommodates the leave dates and places the initials in the weekly cover box in the weekrota tab.

Please let me know if you can help with any of these. points 1a and 1b are the most crucial.
