Extract Data from a JSON API

Up until recently, I was using an Excel macro to extract information through a website API by an identifier known as an NPI. It relatively easy, as specific NPI was part of the URL.

However, recently the API changed for a public resource I used to search/extract the information by NPI. The API and documentation is here:

Any ideas as to how to start for a macro to search by NPI and return the corresponding info? Previously, I had all column data return in one cell, so that I could apply to a column of NPIs..
