Hey guys!
I have a string in A2 (1-2(3) 3-4 5-6(4) 7-8 9-10(3) 11-12) that needs to be split in its components. Once done, I would like to populate the range E1:P1 with the results. Please see the excel sheet attached.
In B1 and B2 there are two attributes, one of which is Product 1 and the second one is Product 2. Sometimes Products 1 and 2 are swapped. In addition, each pair of numbers sometimes has another number in brackets next to it. If that’s the case as in e.g. 9-10(3), then the lesser of two numbers (9 and 10) gets the 3 and the greater of two gets automatically an 8 assigned to it. 3 and 8 shall be captured in the corresponding columns, however one row below.
If product 1 and product 2 are swapped in B1 and B2, then each number pair inside the initial string shall be mirrored as showed in the attached file.
I hope it makes sense and there is someone out there who can help me. Your help is highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
