Hello! New to the forum so be gentle if I've violated any rules. I'm looking to create a vessel design tool, specifically for calculating the volumes of horizontal and vertical volumes. Other than how to get the horizontal vessel volumes with heads accurately conveyed I think I'm pretty good on the math side of things. My question is, is it possible to use VBA to design dynamic drawings? Such as user enters diameter and length and a vessel is generated per those values. Another important part would be to show liquid levels within the vessel on the drawing based on user input. In the little time i've had to research this it seems I may not be able to achieve a dynamic drawing and may have to settle for a set of static custom drawings from visio and have them be called up, but than I came across people linking autocad through excel VBA and was intrigued at what the possibilities could be.
[Edit] I put together a very rough example. Hopefully it can convey the point across, but i'd like to put a value in a cell such as diameter/length and than generate a sketch that shows the relevant dimensions/inputs. (Once I get an idea on how to proceed i'd add much more inputs like liquid level)
Thanks!
