    Updating Tab Names to match a Cell

    Hi all,
    I am looking for either a formula to place in A1 that will update the tab name to match the contents of B4, or a macro that will do the same but will update the tab names of all sheets in my workbook.

    Many thanks for all the help as always.

    Leigh

    Re: Updating Tab Names to match a Cell

    Hi Leigh, I don't believe any formula can do that. Are you saying you want the each sheet renamed based on the contents of cell B4 in that sheet? If so:

    Sub renamer()

    Dim ws As Worksheet

    For Each ws In ThisWorkbook.Worksheets
        If ws.Range("B4").Value <> vbNullString Then ws.Name = ws.Range("B4").Value
    Next ws

    End Sub
    I didn't add anything to deal with B4 contents that are longer that the max allowed for a tab name...
