Unhappy Control Where Automatically Downloaded File from URL is Saved

Hey all. So I'm setting up a spreadsheet to be used for multiple people in my workplace to track weekly project progress from Todoist. Currently, the sheet runs perfectly for me but it is not working for others. The process is as follows:

    1) Looks at username for environment then follows hyperlink with corresponding cell
    2) Checks to make sure todoist.csv has been downloaded from data dump tool
    3) Opens todoist.csv and copies raw data to reporting workbook, then deletes todoist.csv

This portion works. This next section cannot find the "todoist.csv" file for users other than myself because their files automatically download from the hyperlink to different paths. Is there a way I can control where this file downloads so I can find it for any user? I'm also open to other solutions for this issue! Any ideas are appreciated.

In my experience, you can't short of overwriting their existing settings. Instead I read their registry key at runtime to find out what their download location is. Once the file download has finished, my macro moves the file from their download directory over to my desired location. HTH

Can you possibly give me an example of this? I'm pretty new to this so doing that is a little over my head

Just noticed your reply. I don't have time right now.

Can anybody else please take over? (BUMPS THREAD)

It's very straightforward. OP needs the following to resolve thread:
    1. How to read users registry key to return their default download location for IE browser
    2. Move downloaded file from above location to any path of OPs choice
