I was unable to find any information on this topic searching the forums or Google, so I apologize if I'm posting something that's already been answered....
I have a collection of Visio drawings, and am looking for a way to associate item descriptions with an Excel spreadsheet. For example, in a picture of a server rack I may have each device named Server1, Server2, Server3, and so on; in an Excel sheet, I have more detailed information about each device.
My hope is that there is a way to associate each description with a cell in Excel, so that when I update the drawing, the data is carried over into that corresponding cell.
Maybe this is more trouble than it's worth, and maybe Access or SQL would be a better approach... just looking to see if there is a simple method out there that I've yet to find.
