    Freeze certain rows

    Hi

I have an excel sheet with a heading (row) for each year. Like this:

    2016
    -info-
    2017
    -info-
    2018
    -info-

    ("info" makes up many rows)

I want excel to freeze the year at the top, so that when i scroll down, say from 2016 info, then 2016 is the frozen row.
When i come to 2017 rows, i want the row that says 2017 to be to top frozen row, and that one only.
same for 2018, when i come to the 2018 related rows, i want the 2018 row to be frozen at the top.
if i scroll back up, the same thing happens in the opposite way.

Can anyone help me with this?

    Thanks

    Re: Freeze certain rows

It certainly cannot be done natively in Excel. Do you want me to move this to the VBA section for you?

    Re: Freeze certain rows

Can you post an example file of how your data looks this is far to little info to make something.

And I think it might also be possible with an excel table and filtering. instead of scrolling
