Hey all,
I added a dropdown list with various options (19 in total), but when saving and reopening the file, Excel gives me errors.
I've been reading and testing and I've figured out the 255 character limit is most likely the problem.
Working with a named range has solved the issue, but I was wondering if anyone had other suggestions? I would prefer not to make another worksheet...

No - you found the correct solution to your problem. Data Validation lists as strings are fine if you have a few choices ("Yes" and "No") but named ranges are much easier to use and maintain for longer lists.

@Bernie, okido thank you for your feedback.
I guess I will go with that solution and hide my worksheet.
(Have a few other people using my macro, so I prefer to avoid them playing with worksheets they shouldn't)
