Good morning all
I recently upgraded to Office 2016. In previous Excel versions, if I opened 2 instances of Excel, they each had a VBA Editor window and I could easily compare code. Since the upgrade, I open files in separate instances, but only one VBA Editor window is available, containing all the projects. Does anyone know if there is a way to change that?

Bit stupid of me... In past versions right-clicking excel on the taskbar and opening Excel that way created separate instances, but that is not the case with 2016. I realized that while it does open a new window, it does NOT mean it is a separate instance.
In case anyone encounters the issue, I solved my problem by pressing the Windows Key+R and then typing "excel /x" which opened an actual new instance.

From within a single IDE session, try to tile and arrange the windows. This might be a good alternative to what you had before. You will be able to copy and paste code between programs with tiled looks at both codes.

Hi MarvinP, thanks for the reply. I did use that alternative at first, but that would not allow me to use two monitors, which is much more convenient. Luckily I realized the instance vs window issue and am able to do what I wanted
