Grouping of columns in Protected Sheet

Hi Everyone,

I have a workbook where I have protected the sheet so that people cannot change the cells or alter formulas. But during my testing phase I realised that I now cannot group or ungroup columns. I really need this function to work.
I searched several forums online and came up with the below code and I pasted this in the attached workbook. But even then group/ungrouping doesnt work. I am not sure if something is wrong with the code or even not sure how this code should actually work. Can you please help me and suggest a code or a better way of doing this.

I haven't checked the code but try putting the code in the ThisWorkbook object.
