Programming to return cell value if/when certain text is found in a range

This is cross-posted in case the solution is more reliant on VBA than formulas. No spamming is intended.

If anyone might be able to help with this, I would be greatly appreciative. It has to do with the schedule for my school. I've created the schedule manually based on the Student Section, and now I need to create different versions of the schedule based on Room# or Teacher Name. So, I need a programming (or formula) that tries to find the room number in one column of the schedule. If it finds it, I need to return the whole value of the cell into the new version of the schedule.
