open a small data entry window

I need a macro that will open a small data entry window that will ask for data to be entered. once the data is entered, a designated cell will be populated with the information.

This is how I would like it to work. Macro button is clicked and a window pops up asking for a date. once the date is entered cell B2 (or something) then shows that date.

instead of making extra work, cant you just type the date into a cell in the dataEntry sheet?

lol. one would think so but I am actually trying to eliminate confusion. I have multiple data entry people and some remember to change the date (and other things) and some do not. My thoughts are if i force a question to be asked it must be answered and thusly not forgotten. forgetting is bad. Mmmmm Kay!
