export to csv keeps cell in scientific notation

    dear,

I have skimmed through the web but I cannot find an answer to my question... I am desperately in search how to keep numbers and not in scientific format in csv.

even though I have formatted my cell as text and inserted autofit, i do get the correct value (1212121212121212000000000000000000000) populated in my excel BUT in the formula bar it keeps showing the scientific format! when exporting this to csv, the scientific value is copied and not the long correct number string... can someone please help out?

    Thanks a million!

    Strange.
Are you opening csv file from Excel?
Open it via text editor like Note Pad.

Then have you tried to open a newly created csv file from Note Pad?

CSV file is just a comma delimited TEXT file, so external tool will see how you open via text editor.
If origal excel file is showing like 1212121212121212000000000000000000000 in the cell, it should create the csv file like such.

The attached is a csv created from Excel.
Just open it via note pad. Right click on the Icon - Open with - select Note Pad.
