I've looked through many posts but I have not found exactly what I'm looking for so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
I have a list of data that I want to hide certain rows based on a drop down list

What I would like to happen is to put a drop down list in cell A1 that has dates in it. Then when you choose the date the table in the picture automatically hides all the rows where the year column does not equal the date in the drop down box. I'm sure this is possible but I have no idea how to do it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
