Every single cell I click makes Excel run 4 processors... attached image. How to prevent?

Every single cell I click makes Excel run 4 processors. Is there a way to prevent this?
It's pretty fast but annoying...

It may help knowing/ seeing what actually is in the workbook. Are there many formulas? Linked files? Etc. that is taxing the system?? You can change calculation method from Automatic to Manual (but you'll have to remember to Recalculate F9 then!)
You can modify some options and see if it helps too...File, Options and Under Calculation Options CHECK the box 'Enable iterative calculations'.
Again without seeing the issues (copy of the file) it is hard to diagnose.
