Prevent Active X Control buttons from mysteriously getting larger

I have several Active X control buttons (known as "Command Button") on my sheet and they sometimes get larger by 50% or over 100% after I edit something other then size on them or even when I click not on one of them but on an empty cell in the worksheet. Any clues as to why this may be happening?
