    Smile Timer and Circular Reference

    Hi,

I would like to make calculation based on timer in second and I use code as below:
Please Login or Register to view this content.
Is that the right code (in seconds) to create calculation based on timer?

Also, I used the TextBox to avoid cell circular reference due to the formula have been using contain same source from other cell, file attached.
Is there any way to modify the code to avoid the circular reference?
I doubt because I will use on the huge data for calculation and it can be hanged.
    Please advise.

Thanks in advance for your helps.

    Hello iqballud,

Unfortunately I am not able to explain with samples how you could apply one way of solving your issue, other than a sample Workbook.

Please see if you can make do with the attached sample.

    Re: Timer and Circular Reference

    Hi Winon,

I didn't see the difference between your file with mine, only the cell display as calculation is difference, which mine on D8 and yours on D9.
Do you know how to avoid cell circular reference except by those method please?
Also, is that right the code that I used to express the timer as based for calculation or is there any code to display time (in millisecond or in second) except by do looping?

    Thanks.

I don't see anything wrong with what you have.

Do you know how to avoid cell circular reference except by those method please?
You run the Userform to update Cell D8, and then you try to apply that same cell in a formula, which will give you a Circular Reference.

Instead of updating Cell D8, why not do it directly in Cell D6? That is the only way I see to avoid a Circular Reference.

    Please see the revised attachment.

    Hi Winon
    Thank you for your advise.
Instead of updating Cell D8, why not do it directly in Cell D6? That is the only way I see to avoid a Circular Reference.
The actual formula that I will use will involve cell as circular reference. So I couldn't make simplify by directly to use in one cell.
So that's why I have to use redirect to calculate cell D8 which will circulate to D6.
If any other method to avoid circular reference than what I wrote, I'm really appreciated.

    Thanks.
