autopopulate cells by vba formula takes more time

i have been asked by superiors to make vba to autopopulate this workbook because formula makes it very slow. there is 50000 rows. I am not wellverse in VBA. This forum have always helped in my querry. I have desensitized the data. even if i write the middle name the dropdown works. I have never been let down in this forum so in advance thank you.

while attaching the file i found out workbook is 1.45 mb while the site allows 1000kb. help me to explain how can I attach it. to explain my requirments, I have 50000 rows in a column sheet1. in another sheet in A7 as i type ( even middle name) it fiter the data then i can select. It works in formula but takes lot time as there is 50000 rows 1 column

Try "zipping" the file to reduce the size. If that doesn't work, you can always post the file to a download site.

Some folks don't like downloading files and others are ok with it.

Having your file to review would be best.

An alternative is to post your code so one of the GURUs here can review.

Managa attachments is not seen below. I have zipped file should i start a new thread or there is a possiblity o f attachment. I come to understand in reply you could not attach files.

To attach you file to a post, Click on ADVANCED, then toward the bottom look for ATTACHMENTS / Manage Attachments. When the new window opens
you can choose the file to be attached.

sorry, yesterday in india it was midnight. today When i zip in .rar extension and the file was not attaching than i was told to make in zip extension and now i have loaded it
regret and apoplogise for inconvenience
